Money Finder
The GPS program, is a pioneering initiative designed to enhance financial literacy and provide tailored money management assistance to the community. This comprehensive program offers a unique blend of expert guidance through our Money Finder (MF) Kellie.
Key Features:
Personalized Appointments: Clients can book face-to-face sessions, ranging from 30 to 60 minutes, between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm. The program also accommodates phone appointments and outreach to the Bay Islands, ensuring accessibility for all.
Wide Range of Services: From basic financial education like budgeting and saving tips to handling complex debt restructuring and bankruptcy issues, the program covers an extensive range of financial matters. It also includes assistance in accessing schemes like HEEA for affordable utility payments and guidance in applying for No Interest Loans (NILS).
Emergency Relief and Referrals: Acting as a crucial link, the program connects clients to Emergency Relief (ER) funds, NILS, and other in-house counseling services, tailoring support to individual needs.
Access and Eligibility:
Open to All: Serving residents of Redlands, Wynnum/Manly, and Bay Island areas, the program welcomes self-referrals, community referrals, or those directed from Emergency Relief, with no eligibility criteria.
Free of Charge: The GPS program is committed to being accessible and free, ensuring no financial barriers to those seeking help.
Follow-Up Support: Recognizing the importance of ongoing support, the program offers multiple appointments and proactive follow-ups to ensure clients’ continued financial well-being.
