I started at Redland Community Centre in 2016, and was keen to volunteer in Emergency Relief,
as I had done elsewhere. I was encouraged by another E.R, worker Rachel, who said I might make it.Early 2017 I took on the temporary role of Volunteer Coordinator, which allowed me to get to know better the wonderful people who give of themselves at the centre. March 2017 saw the introduction of the GPS- Program, and I was christened “Money Finder” My role involves explaining how to understand day to day financing, such as creating a workable budget, concessions, grants or rebates a client may be eligible for. I often advocate and negotiate on behalf of my clients. Looking to achieve the most worthwhile and satisfactory outcome in regards to their financial issues.
