Domestic Violence Support

The last Australian Bureau of Statistics Personal Safety survey in 2006, defined violence as any incident involving the occurrence, attempt or threat of either physical or sexual assault.  Domestic violence in Qld is linked to 44% of the state’s homicides. If you present at the Centre as someone experiencing domestic violence our ER workers will provide you with understanding and support along with information that will assist you in rebuilding your life.  The Centre can offer you in-house counselling and refer you to other organisations for additional services including legal advice.  The Centre works collaboratively with a number of organisations that assist DV clients.
